Content Moderation Policy

Version draft · Not published

This is a draft. No published terms are available for this section yet. Add organization and contact details and have the documents reviewed.

PUBLICATION CHECKLIST — NOT YET A LIVE POLICY. [[REVIEW_REQUIRED]] Confirm the operator identity, contact channels, hosting and retention practices, legal bases, actual product behaviour and applicable Dutch/EU law. Have the document reviewed and remove this notice only when verified. Publication requires an explicit administrator action.

Content Moderation and Notices Policy

Principles

ArchForge aims to handle notices and safety concerns fairly, without automatic presumptions of wrongdoing. Decisions should consider the exact content, applicable rules and law, surrounding context, severity, proportionality, and effects on users. These procedures do not override statutory duties.

Reporting potentially illegal content

Anyone, including visitors without an account, may use /legal/report to provide an exact on-platform URL, a reason, an explanation of the alleged illegality and optional contact details. Do not include unnecessary confidential material. Report submissions are not public. Submitting a report does not automatically remove material or establish liability.

Handling notices

Authorized staff review the claim and its context, request clarification if possible, document the assessment and decide whether further action is appropriate. Measures may include no action, an advisory warning, visibility restrictions, content removal, or a proportionate account restriction. Evidence and decisions are recorded with restricted access. Staff should issue acknowledgments, statements of reasons and available redress information where law requires it. Reporting is not an emergency-response channel; threats to life should be referred to competent emergency services.

Appeals and correction

Affected users and reporters may submit a reasoned request for reconsideration through {{APPEALS_CONTACT}} or any required in-product mechanism. Whether the DSA's additional platform-specific internal complaint handling applies must be assessed based on the actual legal classification and any applicable small-enterprise exemption. Do not promise a statutory appeal feature that has not been implemented.

Transparency and review

The operator should periodically review consistency, mistakes, response times, access restrictions, record retention and reporting obligations. Staff access to reports and reporter contact information must be limited and audited. Malicious or repeated abusive reports may be addressed under the Acceptable Use Policy.

Changes and version history

This policy applies from its stated effective date once published. Material changes are dated and versioned. Earlier versions remain available to administrators for audit, and any notice or renewed agreement required by applicable law is handled separately. Questions and legally valid notices may be sent using the contact details in the Legal Notice.
